Government Publishes Response to National Student Forum’s Recommendations
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has outlined the steps it is taking to address concerns raised by students in the National Student Forum
David Lammy, Minister of State for Higher Education, and Minister for Students Lord Young, have announced a Government response to recommendations made by the National Student Forum in its 2009 Annual Report.
The report, available here, deals with issues including the value of student loans, the dissemination of clear pre-entry course information through UCAS, and provision for disabled students.
David Lammy said,
“Working together, students, higher education institutions and the government can ensure the student voice is central to the development of higher education policy and improving the student experience.
“Even in these more challenging times, the productive dialogue which has developed between Government and the NSF presents a real opportunity to look at how universities can support students better, how they can provide more flexible provision and how they can learn from each other to improve.”
